## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-16) DUE TO THE LAYOUT OF THE AIRPORT, IT IS POSSIBLE TO TAXI AN AIRPLANE ONTO THE RUNWAY AND STOP WITH THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT CLEAR OF THE RUNWAY AND THE RIGHT WING EXTENDING OUT INTO THE RUNWAY. DUE TO A STEEP DROP OFF AND A TAPERING TREE LINE TO THE LEFT OF RUNWAY 31, A PILOT ON TAKEOFF TENDS TO DRIFT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. THE RUNUP AREA FOR RUNWAY 31 CANNOT BE SEEN FROM THE TAXIWAY DUE TO A HILL AND SWIMMING POOL BESIDE THE RUNWAY. THIS HILL AND SWIMMING POOL ALSO PARTLY BLOCK THE VIEW OF THE DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY 31.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
