## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT CONTACTED THE INVESTIGATION INSPECTOR SHORTLY AFTER THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED AND PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION; THE RIGHT FUEL CAP WAS REINSTALLED INCORRECTLY WHICH CAUSED FUEL TO VENT OVERBOARD. THE PILOT SHUT DOWN THE RIGHT ENGINE DUE TO FUEL STARVATION, DECLARED AN EMERGENCY, AND LANDED AT PASO ROBLES WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE RIGHT FUEL TANK WAS EMPTY. ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT MR. TANKER FOR FURTHER DETAILS OF AIRMAN EXPERIENCE HAVE BEEN UNSUCCESSFUL. AS THIS INFORMATION IS NOT A FACTOR IN THIS INCIDENT, THIS REPORT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
