## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT WAS PRACTICING TAKEOFFS/LANDINGS BY HIMSELF. ABOUT 15 SECONDS AFTER TOUCHDOWN, THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR COLLAPSED, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO VEER TO THE RIGHT. DAMAGE WAS MINIMAL FOR THIS INCIDENT, ESTIMATED TO BE LESS THAN $10,000 BY A/P, MR. JOEL VALLE, INCLUDING ENGINE TEAR DOWN. THIS INCIDENT WAS UNAVOIDABLE AS FAR AS THE "PILOTS ACTIONS". IMPORTANT: THE DELAY IN SUBMITTING THIS REPORT WAS NECESSARY AS OUR OFFICE WAS COOPERATING WITH "SECURITY" IN AN INVESTIGATION. THE INVESTIGATION DID NOT INVOLVE THE PILOT, BUT DID THE OWNER AND THE AIRCRAFT ITSELF. AT 1500 HRS. ON 2/12/98, "SECURITY" TOLD THIS ASI THAT THEIR INVESTIGATION WAS COMPLETE AS FOR THIS AIRCRAFT AT THIS TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
