## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: AT 7:03 LOCAL TIME ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 1997, AT THE NW CARGO AREA (US AIRPORTS, INC.) MERLIN EXPRESS AIRCRAFT #439/N555GB, WAS OBSERVED BY INSPECTORS O'NEILL AND WILLIAMS AS IT WAS PUSHED BACK BY A TUG. THE AIRCRAFT HAD BOTH ENGINES RUNNING. THE RAMP WAS CONTAMINATED. APPROXIMATELY FOUR LINEPERSONS WERE IN ATTENDANCE WITH ONE PERSON ON THE TUG AND THREE OTHERS IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONTAMINATED IN ITS ENTIRETY WITH APPROXIMATELY THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH OF WET SNOW. INSPECTORS O'NEILL AND WILLIAMS EXPECTED THE AIRCRAFT WOULD PROCEED TO ANOTHER LOCATION FOR DEICING, BUT AT 7:08, N555GB TOOK OFF ON RUNWAY 22 WITHOUT DEICING. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
