## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: TWO JUMPERS EXITED THE AIRCRAFT AT 10,000' MSL WITH NO PROBLEM, BOTH PARACHUTES WORKED WITH NO PROBLEM. AT APPROXIMATELY 100' AGL MR. FUNK (FATALITY) ATTEMPTED AN ABRUPT MANEUVER TOO CLOSE TO THE GROUND AND HE HIT VERY HARD. HE WAS MED-EVAC TO BAPTIST HOSPITAL, KENDALL, FLORIDA WHERE HE DIED. NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND WITH PARACHUTE, WEATHER, OPERATOR, ETC. IT APPEARS TO BE BAD DECISION MAKING ON THE PART OF THE PARACHUTIST (MR. JUSTUS FUNK) NONE OF THE 9 RESPONSIBILITIES WERE INVOLVED IN THIS PARACHUTE INCIDENT. OCCURRED DURING LANDING. PARACHUTIST CONDUCTED MANEUVER AT TOO LOW OF AN ALTITUDE WHICH CAUSED HIM TO STRIKE THE GROUND VERY HARD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
