## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON 11/30/97 THE PILOT OF N73635, A CESSNA CE-182-P, WAS TAXIING TO RUNWAY 7 FOR DEPARTURE. THE PILOT FELT A HARD BUMP, HE STOPPED THE PLANE AND NOTICED THE LEFT WHEEL HAD SEPARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. GROUND CONTROL WAS NOTIFIED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY. DURING THE INSPECTION OF THE MCCAULEY WHEEL ASSEMBLY, IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE WHEEL HUB HAD FAILED. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
