THE CREW ABORTED TAKEOFF AND RETURNED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE GATE. THE BRAKE AND RIM ASSEMBLY INCURRED SUFFICIENT DAMAGE TO CAUSE BRAKE PARTS TO FLY INTO THE PROPELLER WHICH KNOCKED THEM INTO THE FUSELAGE PENETRATING THE SKIN IN TWO PLACES. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAKEN OUT OF SERVICE AFTER WHICH THE LEFT MAIN GEAR, ENGINE, AND PROPELLER WERE REPLACED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO THE COMPANY MAINTENANCE BASE FOR REPAIRS. FILE CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
