NARRATIVE: LEFT FORWARD LANDING GEAR SHOCK STRUT HOUSING WELD FAILED DURING RETRACT SEQUENCE CAUSING GEAR TO HANG BELOW FLOAT. GEAR UP LANDING ON GRASS STRIP CAUSED NO DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT OR FLOAT.
