## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON DECEMBER 10, 1997, ON AN APPROACH INTO LAFAYETTE, INDIANA, THE CREW REPORTED THAT THE LANDING GEAR WOULD NOT EXTEND. THE CREW DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED TO SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS. THE PILOT MANUALLY EXTENDED THE AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR AND LANDED AT SPRINGFIELD AT 1951 CST WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED NO DAMAGE AND THE TWO CREW AND EIGHT PASSENGERS RECEIVED NO INJURIES. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT. THE LANDING GEAR MOTOR 60 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER IN THE LEFT NACELLE WAS FOUND TO BE TRIPPED. THE CIRCUIT BREAKER WAS REPLACED AND THE LANDING GEAR CYCLED FIVE TIMES PER THE MAINTENANCE MANUAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RELEASED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
