## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON THE BASE LEG OF LANDING, PANEL LIGHT INDICATING RIGHT LOW FUEL CAME ON. WHILE VERIFYING FUEL QUANTITY AND FUEL SELECTOR POSITION, THE PILOT DESCENDED TO A POINT WHERE A WATER LANDING WAS IMMINENT. WHILE TAXIING TOWARD SHALLOW WATER, THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO LIST TO THE RIGHT. AFTER RESCUE BY HARBOR PATROL, THE AIRCRAFT SLOWLY ROLLED RIGHT AND CAPSIZED BECAUSE OF DAMAGE TO THE REAR OF THE RIGHT FLOAT. THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY A WHEEL EXTENDED WATER LANDING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
