NARRATIVE: ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 23, 1998, FLIGHT 951, A SF-34, N317AE, REGISTERED TO FLAGSHIP AIRLINES, INC., DBA AMERICAN EAGLE, DURING CRUISE FLIGHT FROM JFK TO BUF, THE MAIN HYDRAULIC PRESSURE SLOWLY FELL TO ZERO. THE PUMP WOULD NOT RUN IN "AUTO" AND THE HYDRAULIC "LOW" LIGHT WAS ON. IN OVERRIDE, THE PUMP RAN, BUT CREATED NO MAIN ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE. THE PILOT DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND LANDED AT BUFFALO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AT 1126 LOCAL. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE GATE WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO ALBANY FOR MAINTENANCE. AT ALBANY, MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL CHANGED THE MAIN PUMP LAND PRESSURE INDICATOR. THE AIRCRAFT FLEW ONE FUNCTIONAL CHECK FLIGHT AND FIVE GOOD LEGS AFTER THIS MAINTENANCE WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19930503016589I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930503016589I), May 3, 1993: Saab 340B (N317AE), Rochester, NY. Abnormal oil pressure NR1 engine after takeoff. Returned. Found faulty oil pressure transducer.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
