## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON JANUARY 20, 1998 AT 1035 EST, A CESSNA CE-210-N, S/N 21064846, N4983U, REGISTERED TO NORTH SHORE AIRCRAFT LEASING, INC., FAILED TO OBTAIN LEFT GEAR INDICATION LIGHT WHEN THE LANDING GEAR WAS EXTENDED FOR LANDING AT ROCHESTER INT'L AIRPORT, ROCHESTER, NY. THE PILOT NOTIFIED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL AND THE CRASH, FIRE, AND RESCUE (CFR) WAS STANDING BY. THE PLANE LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES OR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FOUND THE LEFT LANDING GEAR DOWN LOCK SPRING STICKY. THE DOWN LOCK SPRING WAS CLEANED AND LUBED. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL SERVICED THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM TO FULL WITH 5606 HYDRAULIC FLUID, AND PERFORMED LANDING GEAR EXTENSION AND RETRACTION CHECKS WITH NO DEFECTS NOTED. THE AIRCRFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
