## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: ON 02-26-98, IN CRUISE FLIGHT AT 16,000 FEET, THE SOLO PILOT NOTICED FUEL DRIPPING ONTO THE FLOOR SKID PLATE. AN EMERGENCY WAS DECLARED AND A LANDING WAS MADE AT DANVILLE, IL WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL FOUND A LOOSE CAP ON A FITTING USED TO BLEED AIR FROM THE FUEL PRESSURE TUBE TO THE PRESSURE GAUGE. THE CAP WAS TIGHTENED, THE LEAK CHECKED, AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
