## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT MS. LEVY WAS ATTEMPTING CROSS WIND MANEUVERS, APPROACHES, AND LANDINGS AT VPZ. DURING ONE OF THE LANDING ATTEMPTS, SHE WAS FORCED DOWN AND OFF RUNWAY CENTER LINE BY A STRONG GUST OF WIND STRIKING A RUNWAY LIGHT. SHE THOUGHT THE WIND GUST WAS A WIND SHEAR. SHE DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND PROCEEDED TO AN AIRPORT THAT HAD AN ACTIVE TOWER FOR A FLY OVER INSPECTION OF THE LANDING GEAR. SHE LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT AT SBN. AN INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED A DENT TO THE NOSE WHEEL TORQUE LINK AND LEFT FLAP. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
