## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: COMM833 EASTBOUND LEVEL AT FL240 WITH USA 1027 ALSO EASTBOUND OVERHEAD DESCENDING TO FL250. COMM833 REPORTS RESPONDING TO A TCAS RA AND DESCENDING. AS COMM833 DESCENDED THROUGH FL230, THE PILOT REPORTED RECEIVING ANOTHER TCAS RA TO DESCEND MORE RAPIDLY. THIS SECOND TCAS WAS BASED ON ONT439 CROSSING NORTHBOUND AT FL220. THE CONTROLLER ADVISED COM833 THAT THE OVERHEAD USA1027 WAS STOPPING HIS DESCENT AT FL250 AND TO MAINTAIN FL240, AS HE ALSO HAD TRAFFIC (ONT439) AT FL220. COMM833 DESCENDED AS LOW AS FL233 BEFORE REPORTING THE ONT439 TRAFFIC INSIGHT, THEN CLIMBED BACK UP TO FL230. STANDARD SEPARATION WAS LOST BETWEEN COM833 AND ONT439. NTAP SHOW AIRCRAFT CAME WITHIN 2.75NM AND 500 FEET AT CLOSEST POINT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
