## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: PILOT IN COMMAND OF N477CC WAS AT CRUISE SPEED AT 4000' MSL ON A FLIGHT FROM CPS TO SGF, WHEN THE AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH A BIRD, WHICH BROKE THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PILOTS SIDE AND CAUSED MINOR INJURIES TO THE PIC. AIRCRAFT LANDED AT THE INTENDED DESTINATION WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. MINOR DAMAGE AND MINOR INJURY TO THE PIC, WHO WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT. THIS INCIDENT #CE98IGO0051, IS CLOSED WITH THIS REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
