## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: THE PILOT STATED THAT HE INADVERTENTLY CLIMBED INTO CLASS B AIRSPACE AS HE WAS WAITING FOR BKL TO GIVE HIM A HANDOFF TO CLE DEPARTURE CONTROL (ARTC). HE STATED THAT AS HE WAS CLIMBING THROUGH 3,800 FEET HE CONTACTED BKL TOWER TO ADVISE IF HE COULD LEAVE THE FREQUENCY TO CONTACT CLE DEPARTURE CONTROL, WHEN HE CONTACTED CLE DEPARTURE HE WAS TOLD THAT HE WAS IN CLASS B AIRSPACE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THE PILOT USED POOR JUDGMENT AND WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH COMMON ATC PROCEDURES FOR OPERATIONS INTO CLASS B AIRSPACE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
