## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE: INSPECTORS HUDSON AND GETSO WERE DISPATCHED TO THE UPS RAMP AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE DAMAGED AREA OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE UPS CHIEF PILOT, MR. LARRY LOVETT AND UPS DIVISION MANAGER, DOW DAMERON WERE INTERVIEWED AND A STATEMENT WAS OBTAINED FROM THE CAPTAIN OF FLIGHT #2291. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A CARGO LOADER WAS POSITIONED INCORRECTLY. THE PILOT WAS FOLLOWING THE GROUND MARSHALL SIGNALS AND THE LEFT ENGINE STRUCK THE CARGO LOADER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS POSITIONED PROPERLY ON THE LEAD IN LINE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
