## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE AIRMAN ATTEMPTED TO ABORT TAKEOFF ON A 3600 FOOT RUNWAY AT PEORIA-MT. HAWLEY, IL. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST APPROXIMATELY ON QUARTER MILE OFF THE OPPOSITE END OF THE RUNWAY AFTER PASSING THROUGH A FENCE AND THEN BECOMING ENTANGLED IN A SECOND FENCE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE AIRMAN, WHO WAS THE SOLE OCCUPANT. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE. DURING AND INTERVIEW THE DAY FOLLOWING THE INCIDENT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ HE STATED THERE WAS NOTHING MECHANICALLY WRONG WITH THE AIRCRAFT, BUT THE AIRCRAFT WASN'T READY TO FLY AT ABOUT 60 KNOTS SO HE DECIDED TO ABORT. A WITNESS TO THE INCIDENT NOTED THAT THE THROTTLE WAS STILL APPROXIMATELY 1/2 TO 3/4 OPEN WHILE THE AIRCRAFT WAS STILL ENTANGLED IN THE FENCE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
