## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CHI98LA207](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CHI98LA207), Jun 17, 1998: Lake LA4-200 (N80026), Peshtigo, WI, substantial damage. Probable cause: the pilot misjudged the flare and inadvertently dragged the right sponson in the water. A factor was the pilot's lack of experience in the make and model aircraft.

## Other reports on N80026 (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19870729051199I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19870729051199I), Jul 29, 1987: Conaer LA4200 (N80026), Cranberry Lake, NY, Minor damage. Aircraft bounced during a glassy water landing. On bounce, the aircraft stalled, wing struck the water.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
