MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING AT FORT WORTH MEACHAM AIRPORT, TEXAS, DURING A FAR PART 91 CORPORATE FLIGHT. A PRECAUTIONARY ENGINE SHUTDOWN WAS CONDUCTED DUE TO A CHIP DETECTOR CAUTION LIGHT ILLUMINATION. AN IFR FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED AND VMC CONDITIONS EXISTED. NO INJURIES AND NO AIRCRAFT DAMAGE OCCURRED. THE PILOT WAS AN AIRLINE TRANSPORT PILOT. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT LAFAYETTE, LA ON JULY 8, 1998. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED WITH NO ACITON.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
