## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT STATED HE WAS IN CLOSED TRAFFIC AT VRB DOING TOUCH & GO'S. ON THE SECOND TOUCH & GO DURING CLIMB OUT THE AIRCRAFT STARTED DESCENDING AT APPROXIMATELY 10-20 FEET ABOVE THE RUNWAY. ACCORDING TO THE PILOT FULL POWER APPLIED, FLAPS WERE UP, CARB HEAT COLD. AIRSPEED WAS BETWEEN 45-55 KNOTS, HIGH SINK RATE DEVELOPED CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO BOUNCE DOWN THE RUNWAY. WHEN CONTROL WAS ESTABLISHED THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH RUNWAY TO STOP, CAUSING OVERRUN INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH, FLIPPING AIRCRAFT TAIL OVER NOSE TO INVERTED POSITION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ATL98LA095](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ATL98LA095), Jul 9, 1998: Cessna 150M (N9363U), Vero Beach, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the pilot to obtain flying speed, and the delayed decision to abort the take-off, leading to a loss of control in flight, and the subsequent collision with a ditch.

## Other reports on N9363U (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19940611026589I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19940611026589I), Jun 11, 1994: Cessna 150M (N9363U), Okeechobee, FL, Minor damage. Rough engine. Landed pasture. Engine ok. Struck fence on takeoff. Failed to abort until 2500 feet from impact.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
