CESSNA 337, N1247M REPORTEDLY LOST POWER ON BOTH ENGINES AND DIVERTED TO ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, ONTARIO, CA. AIRCRAFT LANDED SAFELY. AIRCRAFT ENGINES REMAINED AT IDLE, NO RESPONSE TO THROTTLE INPUT. PILOT ADMITTED THAT THERE WAS 40 GALLONS OF JET A FUEL MIX WITH 100 LOW LEAD AVGAS. ISIS INFORMATION SHOWS MR ROBERTS MEDICAL WAS LAST COMPLETED IN 1993. FROM TELEPHONE COMMUNICATION WITH MR ROBERTS HIS ACTUAL DATE FOR MEDICAL IS MAY 19, 1995. THIS AIRCRAFT DID NOT LOSE POWER ON BOTH ENGINES. IT HAD A ENGINE TACHOMETER INDICATION PROBLEM. DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE TACHOMETER WORKS OFF A BATTERY POWER. THE CHARGING SYSTEM ON THE AIRCRAFT FAILED TO KEEP THE BATTERY AT A FULL CHARGE DUE TO A BAD WIRE CONNECTION AT THE ALTERNATOR. WIRE WAS REPAIRED, CHARGING SYSTEM OPERATES LINE AND TACHOMETER INDICATES PROPERLY. THIS INCIDENT IS CLOSED.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
