## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)ON SATURDAY, JULY 18, 1998, AT 1411 EDT, A BEECHCRAFT BE-33, N8410N, RETURNED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 6 AT ELMIRE/CORNING REGIONAL AIRPORT, ELMIRE, NEW YORK AFTER REPORTING A ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF. FIRE AND RESCUE RESPONDED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT TAXIED TO THE RAMP WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE PILOT RAN THE ENGINE AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE DISCREPANCY. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED ELMIRA AIRPORT AND CONTINUED ON TO ITS DESTINATION. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
