## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) WHILE IN ROUTE TO SYR, AT CRUISE ALTITUDE OF 10,000 FT, 20 NM NORTH OF WATERTOWN (ART), THE FLIGHT CREW HEARD A STRANGE SOUND, (SHORT AND NOT VARY LOUD). THE CO-PILOT THEN OBSERVED THE RT PROPELLER LEAVE THE RT ENGINE. THE PROPELLER WENT UP AND TO THE RIGHT OF THE AIRCRAFT AND DID NOT TOUCH ANY PART OF THE AIRCRAFT. FLIGHT CREW DECLAIRED AN EMERGENCY TO BOS CENTER AND PERFORMED AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING AT ART.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
