## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB FTW98LA318](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/FTW98LA318), Jul 24, 1998: Cessna 172H (N3743R), Commerce, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's inadequate compensation for the crosswind resulting in a loss of control. A factor was the crosswind.

## Other reports on N3743R (1)

- [Incident 19920808038129I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19920808038129I), Aug 8, 1992: Cessna 172H (N3743R), Texarkana, AR, Minor damage. Pilot made a hard landing. Was practicing crosswind landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
