## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) 07/31/1998 MR. EARL DAHL WAS PILOT IN COMMAND OF USFS TANKER 139, N1 39HP, A LOCKHEED P2V7. THIS AIRPLANE WAS ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM A FIRE NEAR TERRA, UTAH TO HILL USAF BASE, WHEN IT LANDED IN A CLOSED SECTION OF RUNWAY 32. THE AIRPLANE STRUCK SEVERAL OF THE BARRICADE LOCATED IN THIS SECTION OF THE RUNWAY. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRPLANE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
