## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 2, 1998 AT 1550 HOURS (LOCAL), A CESSNA-310, N310HD, REGISTERED TO TRI COUNTY AIRCRAFT LEASING CORP. LANDED AT CAPITAL CITY AIRPORT(EXY) WITH A UNSAFE GEAR INDICATION. AFTER HAVING THE TOWER TO CHECK TO SEE IF THE GEAR WAS DOWN, THE TOWER SAID THE GEAR WAS DOWN BUT COULD NOT SAY IF IT WAS LOCKED, THE AIRCRAFT LANDED ON RUNWAY 8, WITHOUT INCIDENT, AND THEN TAXIED TO HARRISBURG JET CENTER. INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE TAB HAD BROKEN OFF THE MICO SWITCH ON THE LANDING GEAR WHICH INDICATED GEAR UNSAFE. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED NO DAMAGE AND THE PILOT AND PASSENGER ESCAPED INJURIES. VISUAL METEOROLOICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME. M & D REPORT TO FOLLOW. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
