## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS RETURNING TO LINCOLN, NE, FROM ROUND TRIP FLIGHT TO CAMBRIDGE, NE, WHEN THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH. THE PIOT LANDED IN A STUBLE FIELD 18 MILES WEST OF LINCOLN, NE. THE PILOT SUMPED THE TANKS AND FOUND THE RIGHT TANK EMPTY AND WAS ONLY ABLE TO DRAIN A LITTLE FUEL FROM THE LEFT TANK. A MECHANIC LOOKED AT THE AIRCRAFT AND FOUND NO DISCREPANCIES. THE OPERATOR PUT 15 GALLONS OF FUEL IN THE TANK AND THE ENGINE RAN SATISFACTORILY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
