## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)DEBRIS FROM 10 DESTROYED RUNWAY EDGE LIGHT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF RUNWAY 7R WAS HIT BY FLIGHT 1936 WHILE ON TAKEOFF ROLL. THE CREW DID NOT NOTICE ANYTHING UNUSUAL AND PROCEEDED ON TO IAH WITHOUT INCIDENT. MINOR AIRCRAFT DAMAGE TO THE NOSE GEAR SPLASH GUARD, ON SLAT PANEL, AND 2 FUSELAGE SKIN PUNCTURES WAS DISCOVERED ON POSTFLIGHT. IT COULD NOT BE DETERMINED HOW OR WHEN THE RUNWAY LIGHTS HAD BEEN DAMAGED AND NOT NOTICED OR REPORTED. AIRPORT OPERATIONS INSPECTION OF RUNWAY AND TAXIWAYS CONDUCTED AT 2030 EARLIER THAT NIGHT DID NOT REFLECT ANY LIGHT DAMAGE OR DEBIS ON THE RUNWAY. DUE TO THE LATE HOUR OF THE OCCURRENCE (0140 PDT), THE CREW COULD NOT HAVE SEEN THE DEBRIS ON THE RUNWAY. IF THEY HAD, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED AND REPORTED TO LAS ATCT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
