## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23)AIRCRAFT WAS EQUIPPED WITH FULLY FUNCTIONING DUAL CONTROLS, EXCEPT THERE WERE NO BRAKES ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE. AIRCRAFT WAS LANDED BY INSTRUCTOR/PIC SEATED IN THE RIGHT SEAT ON RUNWAY 33 NEAR THE APPROACH END. JUST PRIOR TO LANDING, THE INSTRUCTOR STATED TO THE STUDENT "NO BRAKES" IN AN EFFORT TO COMMUNICATE THAT HE DID NOT WANT BRAKES USED AFTER LANDING. AFTER LANDING, THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED FOR APPROXIMATELY 500 FEET, AND THEN VEERED SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB SEA98LA171](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/SEA98LA171), Aug 26, 1998: Dornbos BD-4 (N91LJ), Kent, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: Directional control was not maintained by the pilot in command.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
