## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) ON AUGUST 28, 1998, AT 1205 MST, A KIS-TR1, N96BT, REGISTERED TO ROBERT K. JEFFERSON HAD A NOSE HEAR FAIL UPON LANDING. THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO A HEAVY SIDE LOAD ENCOUNTERED WHILE LANDING IN A 10 TO 15 KNOT CROSSWIND AT DOUBLE EAGLE AIRPORT IN ALBUQUERQUE, NEW MEXICO. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT, ROBERT M. JEFFERSON HAD NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
