## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)IMMEDIATELY AFTER TAKE-OFF, UPON LANDING GEAR RETRACTION, THE PILOT STATED HE HEARD A CLUNK. HE VISUALLY CHECKED THE NOSE GEAR WITH THE NACELLE MIRROR AND OBSERVED THE NOSE LANDING GEAR WAS JUST HANGING DOWN. THE PILOT WAS DIRECTED TO LAND AT ABE AIRPORT, ALLENTOWN, PA, ON RUNWAY 24. DURING LANDING ROLLOUT THE NOSE GEAR FOLDED UP, CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED FAILURE OF TUBE ASSY. P/N 0842120-1, WHICH PREVENTED THE NOSE LANDING GEAR FROM RETRACTING OR EXTENDING TO THE DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
