## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION RECEIVED FROM JIM RAMAGE, CDF AVIATION MGMT/SAFETY. PILOT NOTED A DROP IN OIL PRESSURE FROM 55# TO 40# ON THE RIGHT ENGINE. VISUAL INSPECTION NOTED ENGINE LOOSING OIL. ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN BUT WOULD NOT FEATHER. AIRCRAFT LANDED OFF RUNWAY AT MEADOWS FIELD (BFL) WITH ONLY DAMAGE TO AIRCRAFT BEING TO LEFT ENGINE PROP. DUE TO A BLADE STRIKE ON A SIGN POST. COUSE OF RIGHT ENGINE FAILURE SUSPECTED TO BE A FAILURE OF THE RIGHT PROP FEATHERING PUMP ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
