## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)THE PILOT REPORTS THAT THEY WERE ON FIRE PATROL PROCEEDING WEST BOUND APPROXIMATELY 200 FT ABOVE THE CLEARWATER RIVER WHEN THEY STRUCK FOUR POWERLINES. DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO SCUFFING ON THE MAIN ROTORS, MINOR DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION FAIRING, AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COWLING. THE PILOT PROCEEDED DOWN THE RIVER AND MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE FROM THE POINT OF IMPACT. THE PILOT AND 2 PASSENGERS WERE NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
