## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) ON SEPTEMBER 21, 1998, AT APPROXIMATELY 18:30 MDT, MR. PAUL FIFIELD (PILOT), REPORTED THAT HIS AIRCRAFT, AN AVIAN SKYHAWK BALLOON, N1612W, HIT THE POWER LINES ON A FINAL APPROACH TO A FIELD LOCATION AT 4 MILE DRIVE AND HIGHWAY 93, NORTH OF KALISPELL, MONTANA. MR. FIFIELD SAID HE DID NOT SEE THE POWER LINE. THERE WERE TWO (2) PASSENGERS ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT BUT NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
