As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 3, 1998, ABOUT 2315 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME, A MOONEY M20J, REGISTERED TO FLIGHT EXPRESS, INC., COLLIDED WITH A PARKED AIRPLANE WHILE TAXING AFTER LANDING AT THE ORLANDO EXECUTIVE AIRPORT, ORLANDO, FLORIDA. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED FOR THE 14 CFR PART 91 PERSONAL FLIGHT. THE AIRPLANE WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED AND THE COMMERCIAL-RATED PILOT, AND ONE PASSENGER WERE NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED ABOUT 30 MINUTES EARLIER FROM THE LAKELAND LINDER REGIONAL AIRPORT, LAKELAND, FLORIDA. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE FLIGHT DEPARTED WITH AN INOPERATIVE LANDING LIGHT AND LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. WHILE TAXING ONTO THE RAMP, THE RIGHT WING OF THE AIRPLANE COLLIDED WITH A PARKED AIRPLANE. HE FURTHER STATED THAT HE WAS PAYING ATTENTION TO A HELICOPTER THAT WAS PARKED TO HIS LEFT AND THE MARKINGS ON THE RAMP WERE INADEQUATE. (-23)TAXING A/C TO TIE DOWN, WITH LANDING LIGHT OUT, WAS DISTRACTED BY HELICOPTER ON TAXIWAY AND IMPACTED WITH A/C ON TIE DOWN.
