## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A TURN FROM A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED TAXIWAY ONTO AN ESTABLISHED TAXIWAY, THE PILOT TAXIED HIS AIRCRAFT OFF THE TAXIWAY AND INTO A 1 1/2 FOOT DEEP HOLE ABEAM THE INTERSECTION OF THE TWO TAXIWAYS. THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE TAXIWAY CAUSING HE TAIL OF THE AIRCRAFT TO SWING RAPIDLY TO THE LEFT, BENDING THE TAIL WHEEL. A SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR AND FAIRING, PROPELLER, FIREWALL ON THE LEFT SIDE, AND THE TAIL WHEEL AND MOUNTS. THE PILOT STATES THE AREA WAS MARKED BY ONE ORANGE BARREL AND TWO ORANGE CONES. THE PILOT ALSO STATES THAT HIS PASSENGER DID SEE OR ADVISE THE PILOT OF THE HOLE IN THE UNPAVED AREA NEXT TO THE TAXIWAYS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
