## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1998, AT 0851, EST, A BA JETSTREAM 4100, N330UE, FLIGHT 6260, OPERATED BY ATLANTIC COIST AIRLINES, DURING LANDING AT BUFFALO NIAGARA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN BUFFALO, NEW YORK, REPORTED A BLOWN TIRE ON FINAL APPROACH. A LANDING WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE MECHANIC FOUND THE SPADE DOOR AND THE FLAP BUCK FAIRING DAMAGED. THE SPADE DOOR AND THE RIGHT HAND #3 TIRE WERE REPLACED. THE BUCK FAIRING WAS PLACED ON A TECHNICAL OPERATIONAL ORDER RESPONSE. AN OPERATIONAL CHECK WAS SATISFACTORY AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE. THIS INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
