## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5) AA87 DIVERTED TO MSP DUE TO WEATHER (HIGH WINDS) AT ORD.AA87 ADVISED ATC OF FUEL EMERGENCY INBOUND TO MSP AND LANDED AT MSP ON RUNWAY 30R AT 2137Z WITHOUT INCIDENT. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT WAS IN POSITION AT THE RUNWAY. NOTE: THIS REPORT WAS COMPLETED UTILIZING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED BY AALA AND THE AMR CMO, SOME FIELDS ARE INCOMPLETE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE INFORMATION REQUESTED IS UNAVAILABLE TO THIS OFFICE. A FAX., RECEIVED FROM MR. NEUMEIR FAA/AMR-CMO, STATES IN PART, "RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REPORTING, INVESTIGATION AND RESOLUTION OF THIS OCCURRENCE RESTS SOLELY WITH THE AMERICAN AIRLINES SAFETY ACTION PARTNERSHIP (ASAP) AND THE AMERICAN AIRLINES CERTIFICATE MANAGEMENT OFFICE (AMR CMO)".

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
