## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)ON 11/13/98 AT APPROX. 10:30 AST, A CESSNA U206F OPERATED AT A PART 91 BUSINESS FLIGHT STRUCK AN ADULT SITKA BLACKTAIL DEER SHORTLY AFTER TOUCHDOWN AT CUBE COVE, ALASKA. CUBE COVE (CUW) IS A GRAVEL STRIP ABOUT 30 MILES SOUTH OF JUNEAU. THE AIRCRAFT, OWNED AND OPERATED BY SILVER BAY LOGGING OF JUNEAU, SUFFERED DAMAGE TO THE LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER, BUT OTHERWISE WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE A SAFE LANDING. THE PILOT, AND SOLE OCCUPANT WAS JOHN RICHARD LEWIS OF JUNEAU, HE WAS NOT INJURED. A PRELIMINARY REPORT HAS BEEN MADE TO ROC.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
