## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)PILOT STATED HE HAD MADE A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING DUE TO FLUCTUATING OIL PRESSURE AND INCREASING OIL TEMPERATURE. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN ON THE 1800 FOOT RUNWAY, THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE PA-28 AND OVER RAN THE RUNWAY DAMAGING THE AIRCRAFT. INVESTIGATION REVEALED NO INDICATION OF MECHANICAL TROUBLE. PROBABLE CAUSE WAS DETERMINED TO BE, THE PILOT RAN ONE FUEL TANK DRY WITH 15 GALLON AVAILABLE TO THE OTHER FUEL TANK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
