## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON NOVEMBER 23, 1998 AT 1000 LOCAL TIME SKYWAY FLIGHT 1042 DECLARED AN EMERGENCY INBOUND TO IND. WITH A GEAR UNSAFE LIGHT. THE CREW USED ALTERNATE GEAR EXTENSION METHOD AND RECEIVED 3 GREEN LIGHTS. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. THE GEAR WAS PINNED AFTER LANDING. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT WAS STANDING BY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS FERRIED TO MRE. THE GEAR HANDLE WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED. FUNCTIONAL CHECK AND TEST FLIGHT WERE NORMAL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
