## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACFT ABORTED TAKE-OFF FOR UNKNOWN REASONS AND RAN OFF THE END OF THE RWY. (-23) TAKEOFF WAS ON RWY 17R AT DWH, AT APPROXIMATELY 2000 LOCAL. PILOT STATED THAT HE SET 25 INCHES MAP BEFORE BRAKE RELEASE AND THEN "WALKED THE POWER UP" UNTIL REACHING FULL POWER ABOUT 1500 FEET DOWN THE RUNWAY. HE SAID THAT AT 100 KIAS HE PULLED BACK ON THE YOKE TO ROTATE BUT THAT THE YOKE TRAVEL WAS RESTRICTED AND NOSE WOULD NOT COME UP. PILOT STATED THAT HE DECIDED TO ABORT TAKEOFF AT ABOUT 125 KIAS WITH ABOUT 2500 FEET REMAINING ON THE 7000 FOOT HARD-SURFACE RUNWAY. PILOT STATED THAT HE MOVED POWER TO IDLE AND APPLIED MAXIMUM BRAKING. PILOT STATED THAT HE APPLIED LEFT RUDDER TO AVOID RUNWAY LIGHT AS HE WENT OFF DEPARTURE END OF RUNWAY INTO SOFT DIRT. NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED AFT AND BOTH PROPELLERS STRUCK THE GROUND. NO INJURIES TO OCCUPANTS OR THE OTHER POEPLE. PILOT ESTIMATES THAT OCCUPANTS AND FUEL WEIGHED ABOUT 1200 POUNDS AT TAKEOFF. PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD STARTED FLYING ABOUT0800 AND HAD LOGGED ABOUT 6.0 HOURS OF FLIGHT TIME IN THE INCIDENT AIRPLANE THAT DAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
