(-5) THE ABOVEMENTIONED AIRCRAFT DIVERTED TO ONTARIO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, DUE TO CO-PILOTS WINDSHIELD SHATTERING AT APPROXIMATELY 23,000 FEET AGL. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. SKYWEST MAINTENANCE PERSONEL REMOVED AND REPLACED WINDSHIELD P/N 97217H2814 AND SUBMITTED MECHANICAL INTERRUPTION SUMMARY REPORT. WINDSHIELD WAS SHIPPED TO MANUFACTURE FOR WARRANTY AND FOR FURTHER INSPECTION TO DETERMINE CAUSE OF FAILURE.
