## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)LANDED ON RUNWAY 31, LANDING WAS REPORTEDLY NORMAL, APPLIED BRAKES 2 TIMES TO TRY TO MAKE FIRST EXIT, PILOT SAID HE MISSED IT. HE THEN ROLLED DOWN TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND AGAIN APPLIED THE BRAKES. AS HE DID SO THE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED. HE SAID THAT HE LOOKED AT THE GEAR HANDLE WHICH HAD BEEN IN THE DOWN POSITION FOR LANDING AND FOUND IT IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION. HE STATED THAT HE MUST HAVE HIT THE HANDLE DURING THE ROLL OUT BUT HAD NO RECOLLECTION OF IT. HE STATES THAT WHEN THE GEAR HANDLE IS IN THE NEUTRAL POSITION THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE IS REMOVED FROM THE DOWN LOCK ACTUATOR WHICH WOULD ALLOW IT TO COLLAPSE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
