## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 06, 1999, N25MD, A LEAR 25, ENROUTE FROM MAF TO JLN REPORTED A LEFT ENGINE FLAME OUT AT FL 410 OVER OR NEAR GUTHRIE, TX. AT 2050 UTC, N25MD INFORMED FORT WORTH CENTER THAT HE WAS DECENDING. FORT WORTH CENTER ISSUED TRAFFIC ADVISORITES AND INSTRUCTIONS TO N25MD TO TURN AND AVOID TRAFFIC AT FL 390. THE AIRCRAFT AT FL 390 WAS ALSO GIVEN TURN INSTRUCTIONS; HOWEVER, A LOSS OF SEPERATION HAD ALREADY TAKEN PLACE. THE AIRCRAFT PASSED 3.6 NM HORIZONTAL AND 1000 FT VERTICAL. N25MD HAD THE OTHER AIRCRAFT IN SIGHT. N25MD CONTINUED ITS DECENT TO FL 250, RESTARTED THE LEFT ENGINE, AND CONTINUED TO ITS DESTINATION WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. (SEE ATTACHMENT)

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
