## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 12, 1999, AT 1124 EST, A MCDONNELL DOUGLAS DC-8, OPERATED BY BURLINGTON AIRWAYS, LANDED ON RUNWAY 22 AT GREATER ROCHESTER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. DURING TAXI TO THE RAMP, THE AIRCRAFT BECAME STUCK IN THE SNOW ON TAXIWAY "A". NO EQUIPMENT WAS NEEDED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS ABLE TO REMOVE ITSELF UNDER ITS OWN POWER. THE AIRCRAFT WAS NOT DAMAGED AND NO PERSON WAS INJURED. AT A LATER TIME, AN INSPECTION OF THE TAXIWAY A MISSING LENS FROM A TAXIWAY SIGN, APPARENTLY DUE TO JET BLAST. THE INCIDENT IS CONSIDERED CLOSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
