## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JANUARY 13, 1999, APPROXIMATELY 35 MILES EAST OF OMAHA, NEBRASKA, AT AN ALTITUDE OF 6500 AGL, BEECHCRAFT BARON, MODEL 95-B55, N5656K, EXPERIENCED A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN THE LEFT HAND ENGINE POWER WHILE ENROUTE FROM GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA, TO DES MOINES, IOWA. THE PILOT IN COMMAND DIVERTED TO EPPLEY AIRFIELD, OMAHA, AND LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE PILOT IN COMMAND, CO-PILOT AND THREE PASSENGERS REPORTED NO INJURIES. THE PILOT IN COMMAND DID NOT DECLARE AN EMERGENCY. SUBSEQUENT INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THE ATTACH BOLT FOR THE LEFT HAND ENGINE THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE WAS MISSING. FURTHER INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THE THROTTLE CONTROL CABLE, BEECH P/N 50-389012-15, HAD BEEN REPLACED IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING DEPARTURE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
