## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-5)NUMBER 1 ENGINE SHUT DOWN DUE TO FIRE WARNING. WHILE CLIMBING THROUGH 13,500 FT., IN CLEAR WEATHER, AIRCRAFT VIBRATION WAS FELT AND ALL ENGINE PA RAMETERS WERE NORMAL. THEN VIBRATION INCREASED AND #1 ENGINE EGT WAS RISING. PERFORMED #1 ENGINE SHUTDOWN PER CHECK LIST. SHORTLY AFTER, #1 FIRE HANDLE ILLUMINATED AND "B" LOOP TO TOP OF SCALE. DISCHARGED #1 LH FIRE BOTTLE. ATB TO JFK.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
